Meet my 3.5yo who loves helping out in the kitchen. Always bugging me to let her peel the veggies, wash her dishes. I wouldn't mind some help in the kitchen! A couple of years back, I ehem, invested in a few kiddie kitchen tools and we have been using them more. These are not toy tools but legit usable for the kitchen! The boys have upgraded to using real knives so this was a good transition for them to real knives. I had a few people DM-ing me about it. The knife that Sarah is using is from the curiouschef and they have a splendid range of tools. We only went with what we would really use (tho very very tempting to get the rest). We got the knife, peeler and potato brush set from amazon.sg .
Thankfully these tools do help to keep her busy for a bit and i got less one thing to do! I had considered getting a toddler tower for them to help more in the kitchen but given the price tag..and size of it, not feasible for us given the number of kids running ard in the kitchen lol. Sarah uses a secondhand ikeasingapore Urban stool (reverse facing) in this photo and a Bekväm step stool at the kitchen sink. Plenty of good deals on Carousell or FB groups! Might start looking at more recipes which allows the kids to help out more in the kitchen! Time to train them to cook for themselves. ⁣It’s been a hot minute since we shared any of our kitchen adventures! Grey is still over here cooking up a storm, I just haven’t been as good about documenting it. His current favorite thing to make are these pancake bites. Like the darling little short order cook that he is, Greyson takes down topping orders from his siblings and makes everyone their own special pancake bites. Ava is team sprinkles and Jack is team banana + chocolate chips. Grey usually goes for the blueberry and cinnamon variations. These are super easy to make and super versatile. You can use any pancake mix but the kiddos are quite fond of the pillsbury Funfetti pancake mix. One cup of mix makes 12 bites. I’ll drop the basic instructions below as these are such an easy breakfast or treat to make.

If you have been here awhile you know that our love for curiouschef runs deep but if you are new around here, all of Greyson’s kitchen tools are made by them. The kid safe nylon knives and the plastic measuring cup with color coded measurements get used daily around here. Having the right tools for little hands makes cooking with kids so much easier. We truly love their entire line so I highly recommend checking them out if you have your own kitchen helpers running around. 🧑🏼‍🍳

🌈Mini Pancake Bites 🌈⁣
* Pancake batter or a boxed mix⁣
* Toppings ⁣
* Non-stick spray⁣
* Mini muffin pan ⁣
⁣
Preheat oven to 350. Spray your pan. Mix pancake batter and fill each muffin well almost to the top leaving a little room for toppings. Top with your favorite fruits, nuts, chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc. Bake at 350 for about 18 mins (check at 15 minutes.) Let cool and enjoy! ⁣
